No, the Mysterious Lagoon does not offer neoprene suits and boots for the snorkeling, because the water has a temperature of 24°C (75°F). Only the lifejacket is offered.

We recommend that women bring a shirt, shorts or legging pants to wear over the bikini.

Yes, the medical restrictions are pregnant women and people with heart problems. Before the tour, visitors should report health problems (diabetes, hypoglycemia, high or low blood pressure, severe allergies and other problems) to the tour guide for extra care and attention.

The water has a constant temperature year round of 24°C (75°F). The temperature is ideal, cool in summer and warm in winter, even if the outside temperature is low.

The distance from Bonito to Lagoa Misteriosa or Recanto Ecológico Rio da Prata (the tours are on the same location) is 50 km, with 18 km of dirt road in good condition and the remaining distance in asphalt. You should leave Bonito about 1 ½ hours before your tour is scheduled. For example, if your tour is at 10:30, departure from Bonito at 09:00. From Jardim, we recommend leaving 45 minutes to 1 hour ahead of the tour hour.

Mask,snorkel and life-jackets are the mandatory equipment for the snorkeling. They are already included in the price of the tour.

The minimum age for the tour is 8 years old and the maximum age is 65 years old*.

*The minimum and maximum age are flexible according to size and physical fitness of the child and adult evaluated by the guide, scuba instructor or tour manager.

We do not have prescription masks. We recommend to tourists who wear glasses the use of contact lenses. We provide glasses cases to protect your glasses during the tour.

Knowing how to swim is recommended, however it is not mandatory as the snorkeling is done with a life-jacket. Exceptions for people who don’t know how to swim have been made in the past. However, even if the person does not know how to swim, in order to do the tour you have to master the use of a mask and snorkel.

No, you can find these services in the tourism agencies in Bonito or with your hotel or hostel.

Yes, because for the snorkeling and scuba diving it is necessary and mandatory to use a set of mask and snorkel, and the mustache and beard can interfere with the mask, not letting it be watertight. Therefore, it is recommended that you come for the tour with your beard done.

Yes, this service is offered in the main house of Recanto Ecológico Rio da Prata, but the cameras can also be used at the Lagoo. The digital cameras already come with a memory card, and after the tour the photos and videos made are recorded into a CD.

The tour can be scheduled for the afternoon, but the hour it starts depends on the season (winter, summer).

Reservations for the tour can be made in advance through a local tourism agency in Jardim or Bonito, or check with your tour operator if your tour package includes the tour at Lagoa Misteriosa.
