Artificial nests for parrots are instaled in Mysterious Lagoon
in 09 and 10 February a team of the Institute Arara Azul installed artificial nests in Recanto Ecologico Rio da Prata and Mysterious Lagoon, tourist attractions located in Jardim (MS). The installation action to macaws nest is the result of analysis of selected trees at the last visit in December 2011.

"Among the big trees on the farm we have chosen the ones that have a history of passage of macaws or medium size above 4.5 meters with adequate fork to accomodate both nest and for ease of maintenance inspections... Now we have to wait and observe the behavior of the macaws". tells us Esterquille Osvaldo Jr., Environmental Enginner of the tours.
According to the Environmental Engineer of the rides were installed four nests in the area of the farm, some in Rio de Prata and others in Mysterious Lagoon, being directed two nesting for Macaws Red and two for Blue Macaws.
